Our President, Don Straits
Don is recognized as a worldwide authority in career and leadership technologies and strategies. He is the founder and president of Corporate Warriors.

Don serves as a career expert for numerous trade and industry websites including CareerBuilder.com, MSN, AOL, and Bio.com. His articles appear in over 300 newspapers, magazines and trade journals. These articles have been translated into over twelve languages.

Don has an outstanding reputation earned through his achievements in business and academic endeavors. He holds an M.B.A. from Washington University and a B.A. from Cornell. He has held several senior level executive positions in the private sector and has served as president of a manufacturing company and president of a consumer products marketing company. He has hired, trained, and provided leadership to thousands of professionals.

In addition, Don has a successful track record as an entrepreneur in several business ventures. He was selected to serve as the editor of the Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management section of the American Management Association AMA Management Handbook 3rd Ed.

His academic accomplishments include marketing professorships at Seton Hall University, Ohio University, Fairleigh Dickinson University, and Linfield College. He has received extensive recognition for his teaching excellence and was named a Free Enterprise Fellow.

Don is a professional speaker and has conducted hundreds of keynote presentations and seminars for companies, associations, conventions, community groups and universities. He is a dynamic motivator and makes a lifetime impact on his clients and audiences.

Dave brings expertise and immediate focus to your executive search as a certified corporate business and career coach. He partners one-on-one with professionals in all areas of career transition: creating momentum, choosing a career direction, the art of effective networking, role playing, executive career marketing, finding opportunities, evaluating/negotiating offers, and effective tactics once you've accepted a position. He has operated a full-time coaching practice since 1998.

Dave’s background also includes experience and expertise inside Corporate America’s high-tech companies and Fortune 500 manufacturing firms, where he held a variety of leadership roles. Dave is a member coach with Ken Blanchard’s coaching.com company.

Dave holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Clark University, is a graduate of the Worcester Polytechnic Institute–School of Industrial Management, and Corporate Coach U. He has also studied with The Coaches Training Institute and Comprehensive Coach U.

In addition to his coaching activities, Dave delivers seminars in communication styles, networking skills, and coaching for performance. He is a licensed facilitator of the Coaching Clinic© developed by Corporate Coach University International. He is an active board member of the nationally recognized Certified Networker Program, and a volunteer career mentor working with inner city youths and college graduates.

Terry Anderson, Ph.D.
Dr. Terry Anderson is a successful, results-oriented, senior organizational learning specialist. His specialty areas are: executive coaching and mentoring, strategic and operational planning, management team development, and e-business transition consulting. He has been called, by some of his clients, the "Optimizer," because he has developed and tested systems and tools to optimize leader, team and organizational performance. The other name clients have given him is, "DrCoach," because of his hands-on, hard-hitting, practical, but professional approach.

His 27 years of teaching leadership and problem management at the university level has given him experience in facilitating the learning of over 60,000 adults.

Terry has personally authored over a dozen publications, some of which have been translated into Japanese, Dutch, Swedish, Hungarian, Flemish, French and Spanish, and are being used in 11 countries. The First Edition of his book, Transforming Leadership: New Skills for an Extraordinary Future, was published in 1992 by HRD Press, in Sweden (1994) by ISL Forlag, and in Hungary (1994). He also authored the Personal Style Indicator (1987) which has been used by nearly 1 million people in eight languages.

Terry's academic background includes undergraduate work in English and psychology (B.A., 1967), and his master's level work was in college teaching and counseling (M.A., 1973). His Professional Education Certification was completed at the University of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada (1971). His undergraduate and master's level academic work were completed at California State University, Chico; and his doctoral studies in Administration and Management (1992) were with Robert Marx, Ph.D., at the University of Massachusetts School of Management, and Allen Ivey, Ed.D., at the University of Massachusetts School of Counseling and Consulting, through Columbia Pacific University.

As a certified professional consultant to management and executive coach, Bob supports the broad range of private and public institutions faced with the challenges that his unique experience has prepared him to solve. He has considerable proficiency with individuals, small businesses, multi-million dollar high-tech companies, educational institutions, service organizations, manufacturing enterprises, and governmental entities.

Bob has a distinguished career in entrepreneurship, engineering, business, management, and human communications. He launched successful startups and developed new markets, was a significant contributor to a $1 billion product line (TOPGUN) featured in the movie of the same name, and he started own computer firm growing from zero to $5 million in four years. Other accomplishments include rescuing failing programs and generating significant profits, focusing companies in niche markets in highly competitive arenas, cultivating effective community relations and communications for a substantial regional utility, and coaching county officials.

Bob has a BS with Honors from San Diego State University with a major in business management and emphasis in finance and communications. He is affiliated with the San Diego Venture Group, Professional Coaches & Mentors Association, and San Diego Professional Coaches Association.

David Griswold
David Griswold entered the career outplacement industry in 1979 in New York City. Within three years, he was lead consultant on major projects for Exxon, Union Carbide, Pan American, Reliance Insurance, and Grumman Aircraft.

In 1983 he formed his own consulting business where he was sought by industry leaders to head up projects and manage offices. Along with spearheading consulting for Fortune 500 clients, David was recognized for his work with military personnel who were transiting from the service to the private sector.

More recently he was selected to manage all the outplacement for a leading retailer when they made their decision to leave the southeast market. David coordinated with their senior management team to construct programs that met goals and objectives within budget perimeters.

Another program involved downsizing a defense plant for a world leader in the aerospace industry. Over 500 men and women, many with over 30 years in this industry, went through the program and achieved superior results in finding new career positions.

David has personally consulted with more than 3,000 individuals and delivered seminars to more than 10,000. He is considered a dynamic speaker, and is recognized for his direct style that imparts information and confidence to both exempt and non-exempt employees.

David taught at Yale University and Trinity College and earlier served as an officer in the Marine Corps. He holds a Master's degree from the University of South Alabama and an undergraduate degree from Springfield College. He has been a member of the American Society of Training and Development, the American Management Association, the National Speakers Association, and the Georgia Speakers Association.

Sharon is a nationally recognized workshop leader and facilitator. She developed and presented seminars on human resource and leadership issues including team building, leadership training, priority setting, time management, stress management and professional meeting planning.

She holds two Master’s degrees with special emphasis in health care and education.

Sharon is the President-elect of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and Past President of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD). She also serves as an instructor at California State University, Sacramento.

Joelle Silva
Our Wizard of the Realm, Joelle has an extensive background in office management, clerical and technical support across many industries. She has pursued advanced education in the Windows environment, the Microsoft Office suite of applications, desktop publishing, database management and HTML programming.

With her expertise in grammar, composition, and various software programs, Joelle functions as an excellent resource to our clients in preparing for their new challenges. She moderates the e-list for our new Warriors Network and provides ongoing support for all the CorporateWarriors family members. She also participates in our website design, utilizing her growing skills in Dreamweaver, Cold Fusion, Fireworks, Photoshop, Flash, javascripting, ASP programming, SQL, and database management.
